Call To Action: There are times when trials and challenges will seem to overwhelm us it’s easy to wonder why God would permit such things to happen. Remember, there are times when, like Job, God permits troubles to fall upon His children to silence the accusations of the enemy and to show that they are faithful. There are other times, though, when God sees the imperfections of character still within us and, in His love for us, He permits and sends trials our way to purify and refine us, knowing that as we turn to Him in our moments of overwhelm, that we will find strength in Him who knows know failure and we will be given the grace to make it through. So, the next time trials seem to overwhelm you, look up to God. Remember that He will never permit you to be tested above what you are able to endure (1 Corinthians 10:13). God loves each one of us and as a loving parent corrects and instructs their child, so God lovingly and patiently corrects us. Let us receive instruction and love understanding and bear the correction of the Lord with joy, knowing that whom the Lord loveth, He chasteneth.
